On April 20th, President Wang Xufeng and his delegation from Shanghai Zhongjian Architectural Design Institute Co., Ltd. came to our institute to discuss school enterprise cooperation. Vice President Wu Wenzhi and Director of the Discipline Office Liu Jianwei had talks and exchanges with them.

Firstly, Dean Wu, on behalf of the college, welcomed Dean Wang and his delegation and provided a detailed introduction to the development of our college, with a focus on the research and implementation achievements of our faculty and students in sustainable design and innovation for the G60 environment. Subsequently, Dean Wang also introduced the development of Shanghai China Construction Architectural Design Institute and the series of work carried out in Songjiang to the attendees. Subsequently, both sides exchanged and discussed the planning and construction of the Songjiang 15 minute community living circle, and had preliminary discussions on the cooperation between the two schools and enterprises. Finally, both parties unanimously agreed to establish a special working group to conduct real-time communication and promotion on the planning and construction of the 15 minute community living circle in Songjiang District, as well as the cooperation between the two schools and enterprises.

In recent years, the School of Art and Design has established sustainable design and innovation as one of its disciplinary characteristics, with the educational philosophy of combining art and industry, integrating industry and education. It has created a large number of excellent works in industrial design, cultural and creative products, urban imaging, exhibition space design, urban public space design, rural design, and other fields, serving the development strategies of Songjiang G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, Songjiang New City, Songjiang Science and Technology Cinema, and rural revitalization. Not long ago, in order to promote the work of the 15 minute community living circle in Shanghai, the Planning and Natural Resources Bureau of Songjiang District established a school land cooperation platform to fully mobilize and utilize the advantageous resources of Songjiang District, forming a 15 minute community living circle plan that highlights the cultural and historical characteristics of Songjiang and is in line with the actual situation of Songjiang. Through the Songjiang campus cooperation platform, the School of Art and Design at Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology and the Shanghai China Construction Architectural Design and Research Institute actively contacted and established a cooperative relationship, jointly providing characteristic and high-quality solutions for the construction of the Songjiang 15 minute community living circle and the Songjiang New City with the wisdom of creative design.
