The School of Art and Design combines its own professional advantages, fully implements the spirit of our school's Notice on Promoting the Joint Construction of Sino German Cooperation Majors, focuses on professional construction, improves the innovative talent training system of the college, vigorously enhances the internationalization level of the college, and actively prepares for the connection with relevant functional departments of the school to meet the needs of German universities.

On the morning of April 28th, Tang Ming, Vice Dean of the Institute of Integrated Development of Industry and Education in Germany, Yu Meilin, Dean Wang Qin of the School of International Education, and Deputy Director Yan Bing of the External Liaison Office conducted on-site research at the School of Art and Design on matters related to Sino German joint education and professional construction of the Industrial Design Department. Professor Gao Gao, Vice Secretary and Dean of the Party Committee of the School of Art and Design at Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology, Professor Xu Jianghua, Vice Dean, Ms. Cai Mengya, Deputy Director of the Department of Industrial Design, Ms. Zhu Mingjie, a key teacher, and Ms. Chen Lu, Director of the Industry University Research Office, received Vice Dean Tang, Dean Wang, and Deputy Director Yan Bing.

Firstly, Vice Dean Xu Jianghua warmly welcomes all leaders to conduct research at the School of Art and Design. At the same time, he hopes to maintain contact with relevant functional departments of the school, promote the professional and international construction of the college, and elevate the overall scientific research and teaching work of the college to a new height. Secondly, Dean Gao introduced to the leaders the achievements of the college in scientific research and teaching since 2016, as well as the current research directions and educational models related to the Industrial Design Department. Leaders fully recognize the achievements that Dean Gao has made in leading the School of Art and Design since 2016. Subsequently, Tang Ming, Vice Dean of the Institute for the Integration of Industry and Education in Germany, and Wang Qin, Dean of the School of International Education, delivered speeches. Tang introduced the important significance of cooperation between the school and relevant universities in Germany, as well as the basic situation of relevant universities in Germany. He also hoped that the School of Art and Design could quickly organize relevant needs to connect with relevant universities in Germany and carry out deeper cooperation and exchange with the German side based on their professional needs. Dean Wang Qin mainly engages in exchanges with high-profile deans on issues related to undergraduate and graduate education. After President Wang's speech, various parties engaged in extensive and in-depth exchanges on their respective topics of concern, and in this process, new sparks were ignited.

In a friendly and friendly atmosphere, all parties concluded their research on that day. Dean Gao Gao expressed the hope to establish a continuous communication mechanism, continue to hold dialogue on topics such as Sino German joint education and the future development of the Industrial Design Department, help the overall development of the college's disciplines, continuously improve the comprehensive strength of the college in various fields, and achieve a second leap in the teaching and research fields of the School of Art and Design.
